Spring is the perfect time to take a minute time for yourself and that is what I did today making this bracelet. I am a pretty big fan of the lock and round silver bead, with its sort of Nordic floral design, it’s a perfect match for the Decorative Bird, The Decorative Rabbit Baby, and The Jumping Rabbit Baby. I really like this pattern and I am happy to see it pop up again in a way that doesn’t feel so seasonal.
I am trying (TRYING!) to break out of my usual color patterns with this blog as a major motivator- and in the last post (Beauty and the Beast) and this one I used WAY more yellow than I think I ever have before. This time the same goes for red. My red beads usually just sit around until Christmas and Valentine’s Day every year and that is pretty silly, but I have never really made a bracelet with red that I was like “yes I want to keep that forever.” I don’t yet know that this is “the one,” but I am thankful that I have this blog to catalog all my design photos. So if I take this apart and regret it (as I have done with so many bracelets) I can come back and put it back together. I strongly recommend that you do the same, it’s FUN to play with your beads and you should! I like saving all my photos on Dropbox in a file of their own just in case I end up having regrets.
