Valentine’s Day by Trollbeads Akron

It’s that special time of year again! The time where we can justifiably wear hearts and pink with red with abandon and no one will question your age, taste or sanity. It’s also my favorite time of year. I don’t get really jazzed up about silly Christmas sweaters or swim wear, but when February rolls around I have my heart blouses and bright red lipstick at the ready. I also have some go-to Trollbeads looks for the season (of course!).

Trollbead's Akron Peachy Valentine Bracelet

Though I am not at all a fan of using the Catching Hearts Lock I do really enjoy looking at it and it was my first thought for this bracelet. I may end up replacing it, but for now I have not had too much trouble with this clasp and I think it probably has to do with the beads not being very tight on the bracelet itself.

White pearls are featured a lot on our site because I am a big pearl fan, I think the white pearls in this design really help lighten up the entire bracelet, and I like that so much I was considering even adding another white bead or a Diamond Bead with a Gold Core. I like this more “peachy” tone for a Valentine’s bracelet and was thinking of pairing it with a purple bracelet for a sweet unexpected look.

Something I am adding to my collection quite a bit lately is X. This bracelet is a bit more “rocker chick” than any of my other looks I usually go for, but it’s a nice change of pace and a very different color for me. It’s also fun to wear, it makes me feel like I am playing “dress up” a little bit and every time I wear the more colorful X  I am asked what it is and where I got it. It’s also nice to try a new look without totally breaking the bank. This entire bracelet prices out at $221.40 and is quite a steal when you think of how much you can put into a full Trollbeads look.

Trollbeads Akron Valentine Bangle Stack

Another interesting look that I have been playing with is stacking bangles. I like to keep the design pretty minimal if I plan to stock them, in order for everything to be visible. This way my wrist doesn’t look too busy, just very thoughtful. I like using a bangle to highlight beads that are very special to me at any given time, like the Stay Positive Bead when I am having a tough week or my birthstone around my birthday.

This is a take on a classic Trollbeads Valentine’s Day look. I am always editing my “holiday” bracelets, but it currently looks something like this. I do really like using the softer pinks with the brighter reds to avoid looking too much like heavy costume jewelry. I think the Rose Quartz really compliments the Swarovski bead in the Valentine Bead. You may not be able to see it in this photo but I am using the Bow Lock here which is my favorite lock to use for Valentine’s Day bracelets.

Trollbeads Akron Valentine Neck Bangle

Alright- I did not get this for Valentine’s Day, but i think it is the perfect thing to wear on a date with your little black dress (or on a couch splitting a pizza) AND until Feb 14, 2017 you can get 25% off the necklace when you buy the (or any) pendant! That is the first time you can get a discount on the neck bangle and if you have been waiting to get one, now is the time.

That is just a little round-up of my favorite Valentine’s Day looks for this year but I want to know what are you wearing? Do you have a Valentine’s specific bracelet, do you always wear this color family, or do you switch your bracelets around throughout the year? Leave a comment below or let us know on Facebook!

And while you are looking at what I have to say/want to wear for Valentine’s Day check out all the ready to wear from Trollbeads this year .
