Though it may seem early to talk about Spring at the tail end of January we always look forward to it! This year our Spring Trollbeads collection was delivered in the middle of our first major snow storm, so we were very happy to get even a hint of the coming Spring and a glimpse of something green ?.

This Spring release is quite impressive. And yet, I am surprised by some of the beads I am bananas over. While others that I thought would be in my top 5, are not, after playing around with them, as “user friendly” when viewed with other beads in my preferred color palettes.

Here are my top 5 beads from 2019 Spring Release

1.) The Peacock Pearl: Though quite varied in color, I have not put together one bracelet or necklace after getting these in without thinking “a Peacock Pearl would be pretty on here”. I am boarder line obsessed with them, and not ashamed. I have been hoping for this since last spring when the Peacock Pearl Fantasy Necklace came out.

2.) The Grey Moonstone– Though I generally am a sucker for all the faceted stones, this particular stone was not really on my radar (probably due to the fact I was so excited for the Green Aventurine). However, this bead has proven to be perhaps the most versatile of all the beads in the entire collection.

3.) Roots of Wisdom and Roots of Spirit – I love how the silver in these beads actually appears to be snaking through the glass like roots. The gorgeous organic background colors in these beads have especially won my affection.

4.) All the Knots – OK- so this is actually not one item either- but they all go together so, well… how am I to choose? These beautifully rendered beads are a gorgeous addition to any bracelet. They are oh so easy to use in designs, and much like the Lucky Knot are simple, beautiful and very eye catching. I also find the Savoy Knot Lock very easy to use. I am hoping for the next release to also have some nautical items, so I can finally put together a Nautical bracelet.

5.) The Lush Meadow Lock and Bead– The Lush Meadow Lock and Lush Meadow Bead are lovely, easy to use and the perfect size to grab your attention, without being overwhelming. While certain florals from past releases, like the Indian Cress or Lover’s Faith, are not the easiest beads to use, and though they are beautiful, can’t just be added anywhere, the Lush Meadow Bead is much more versatile. Plus the lock is easy to use, and is a great alternative for the Carolina Jessamine Lock which some people have a hard time using.

The beads in this collection that I’m still struggling with in my designs include the Flower of Grace and the Dragonfly in the Garden. I like the look of these beads, but they show up a bit yellow for me, and I am not much of a yellow fan.

What beads have you received from the Spring line that you are loving? I would love to hear your reviews!

  1. I haven’t got mine yet – but I have a pair of Dragonfly on Silk beads that are in the post somewhere on their way to me! I can’t wait til they arrive!
