Trollbeads First Father’s Day
For the first time since its inception in 1976 Trollbeads is releasing a bead for Father’s Day. Which in and of itself is quite exciting because we all get another special bead and there are more options for gift giving for the gentlemen fans of Trollbeads. Mother’s Day has been something celebrated with a special bead release for years, so it is very nice to see the guys get included.
Inspired by the Viking Shield (which you can see some images of here: Viking Shield ), this bead is something we here at Trollbeads Akron are very excited to use, but for very different reasons.
Those of us at Trollbeads Akron have all had very different experiences of fathers in our lives but we would like to share them with you related to how we would use this bead- as we doubt any of our situations are rare.
Even though one of us has a SUPER DAD he is in no way a jewelry wearer. He even for-goes a wedding ring to the chagrin of one of our moms. So instead of gifting this bead to the dad in question wearing it on a symbolic bracelet just makes a bit more sense. The bracelet you see above is something we cooked up to celebrate this very special Dad- earth toned colors to symbolize many summer nights spent outside and random weekend camping trips, the paternity bead and path of life because he has been there from the beginning and through all the twists and turns that life brings.
This Leather Necklace was inspired by one fierce single momma. This big-hearted woman has been quite a warrior to make sure her child has all the love and support any two parent home could give. Some of the Vikings most fierce warriors were women ( you can read a little more about that HERE) , so this Shield Necklace is just the thing to celebrate a strong woman who stand firmly in both parental roles.
Last, but certainly not least is for the minimalist dad, who will wear a bracelet, but still wants a masculine look. When we suggested a father/daughter look we got an eyebrow raised – but not a no. And that is just as good as a yes isn’t it?
