Trollbeads Daisy of April Inspiration Bracelet
Every so often I have a chance for a fresh look at a forgotten bead, or beads, that I’ve had around for a while. It’s a lot like getting a new piece of clothing that you quickly fall out of love with once you wear it once or twice. You get a great new sweater, for example, which you love the first few times you wear it until it inevitably finds its way to the back of a random drawer quickly achieving out of site, out of mind status. But then comes an autumn day and you happen upon that forgotten sweater, and a big smile spreads across your face as you touch the luxurious material and notice how well it fits you in all the right places, and you get another taste of that first love blush. This renewed gratitude post is for the Daisy of April, and all the flowers of the month beads, which are beautifully rendered birth month flowers, hiding away a pearl within their design.
When the Flowers of the Month first came out everyone on staff here lost their minds! The silver cast floral details are exquisite with each hiding a precious pearl surprise! Not only are the Flowers of the Month a necessity for your personal collection, but they make a meaningful and thoughtful gift. I even started a “grandma bracelet” for my mother filled with all her children’s and grandchildren’s birth month flowers. Ultimately, my mother’s necklace quickly became the one pictured above when she decided to use all the months of the year because they were so gorgeous.
This bracelet, pictured above, was born from both wanting a “showcase” moment for the Daisy of April, and also a result of my unrestrained excitement for this gorgeous Ohio day, which is the first day where the sun and daffodils are out in full force, while verdant green tree buds proliferate. Celebrating these emergent green buds, I used several dark green beads for a lush feeling. (Please be advised that this is our LAST faceted MALACHITE, and it does not appear that I will be getting more.) I am hoping there will be more of these dark green shades coming from Trollbeads, because the ones pictured in the bracelet are all retired. The new faceted rounds are a great start but I want more! The use of the pinks and amber tones come from the Sunflower Fantasy bead, which after seeing it paired with the round malachite, I knew would be the foundational colors for this look.
It’s also a perfect time to do a Daisy of April look to tie in with all the Daisy items that were released this spring! I did not use the Daisy Spacer on this bracelet but it would be an easy addition for those of you who prefer less movement on the bracelet chain.
