Spacers- a quick primer on our favorite Trolllbeads add on
The very best thing about getting a new intern is showing her around our Trollbeads case(s). Even if we get an intern in who is familiar with the brand, once they really start playing with the product, they always are amazed by how much you can do to customize every single piece. It is so easy (well-kind of) to put together a bracelet that looks great with just a couple beads, but when you really start playing with what I like to think of as more advanced products (i.e. Spacers, Fantasy necklaces with splitters, leather bracelets that can be used as necklaces, tiaras) you can really see how very exciting this brand can be.
One of the items that is so helpful in personalizing a look is a spacer (formerly known in the Trollbeads world as a stopper), which just so happen to be on sale until June 11th 2017. Spacers have not been included in any of the buy 3 get the 4th free deals before, and I am super excited that this is now an option, because I have A LOT of projects that need multiple spacers. Pictured above is a close up of a multi-layered necklaces with Triple Pearl White, Silver Stoppers (or spacers… whatever. Old habits die hard) and a Trollbeads Anemone Spacer.

I like to call this Bracelet the Heartstopper. I used quite a few Love Symphony One Beads on this one, which is something I have been doing quite a bit of lately, using a lot of the same beads, or being repetitive with a pattern using the same handful of beads. Something else that was fun was using both the Organic Hearts and the Connected Love Spacer, which are pretty close to identical. I alternated the Connected Love Spacer with Silver Spacers for the sake of ascetics.
One of my very favorite things about Trollbeads is their use of oxidization. So many other bead brands are just too shiny for my taste, but with Trollbeads use of oxidization I feel like I can stay true to my own style. Here I used the oxidized spacers to show-case a pattern that I made with the Yellow Prism, Blue Hematite, and Honey Dawn. I repeated this pattern twice, but I may end up doing it 3 times on this bracelet for the sake of how it lays when wearing it on my wrist.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE using spacers for this very thing- breaking up little groups of bead that I think look lovely together on a necklace. I usually stick with 4-5 groupings of 3-5 beads for this type of look. I used Purple Prism, Birds of a Feather (sm), Magical Lamp, Beehive Spacer, Rise Together, Engraved Fushia, Soul of Sunshine, Copper Spacer, Beehive Spacer, Only One You, Labradorite, Soul of Wave, Copper Spacer, Indian Cress, and Nature Dream for this necklace.
This I am excited to show you- I just love this little bee and I have him all set up to lower down on this Fantasy Hibiscus. I am currently wearing just this on a necklace chain on the side, but i am looking for more amber to incorporate in other groupings. I used the Black Onyz, Maple Syrup, Bumble Bee Spacer, Fantasy Hibiscus, Golden Quartz and a Copper Spacer here, but this may be an evolving item- I just wanted to show it to you while we were talking about Spacers.
As I have already told you all numerous times, I love stacking bangles and without Spacers that just wouldnt be as fun. This is what I was wearing today with jeans and a white tank. A Sliver Bangle with a Sunbeam Spacer and a second silver bangle with Oxidized Spacers, Labradorite and a Coral Opal, simple, and fun with a little pop of color.
So what about you? Do you have any projects you are working on or have finished with many Spacers? Are you (like me) always sayng Stopper still? I want to hear about what you are working on or excited abotu going into summer so let us know in the comments below!
